about raft counseling…

My philosophy:

I believe that people are inherently good, but reach hurdles that are life stressors such as relationship struggles, mental health issues, environmental/societal expectations, etc. Life is tough, but we are capable of culminating strength for change and growth.

My Clinical practice:

Using a humanistic person-centered and relational approach, I believe that the client is the expert of their own life and provide unconditional positive regard. With a directive approach, I aim to aid clients in learning skills to help be the best and happiest versions of themselves. I utilize interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapies (ACT), and Gottman Counseling. However, each approach is tailored to the individual client, to ensure the most success.

how i work:

I like to bring my humanness into the counseling space to create an engaging, comfortable, supportive and sometimes humorous atmosphere. I appreciate working with highly motivated individuals and couples to create peace and healing in their lives.

“Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul be just another human soul.”
